Puerto Montt

Puerto Montt it´s at 1.016 kilometers from Santiago, at the middle of Reloncaví, where de Austral Freeway starts and where the ferries to Chiloé and boats to Magallanes and Aysén disembark.

When you pass through here you cannot miss the sea food of the Angelmó cove, the soul of the city. In this outdoors market you´ll find fresh products and crafts from Chiloé. The tour continues through the cathedral, built from larch wood; the Jesuit church, the oldest in the city (1872); the Diego Rivera House of Art; and the Juan Pablo II Museum, with an exhibition that sums up the history of the area.

Puerto Montt has also an archeological appeal. Nearby there is Monteverde, the oldest human trace of the continent where there were found objects from 30 thousand years ago.

During the summer the average temperature is 23ºC and in winter 8º.

Chiloe

To get to this archipelago you have to travel 1.090 kilometers from Santiago to Pargua, where you must take a ferry to cross the Chacao Canal and get to Chiloé. From Chacao to Ancud there are 33 kilometers and from this city, 82 kilometers until Castro.

In Chiloé you cannot miss the palafitos, colorful houses built on poles in the water that are a "must see" of the island. Also, you must visit the churches made out of wood and built in the XVIII and XIX century. 16 of them were declared World Heritage by Unesco.

Kayak sailing through the secondary canals o taking a ferry to another island of the archipelago like Quinchao, Lemuy, San Pedro o the Chauques group, is an experience that you won´t forget. And if this isn´t enough for you, you can also visit de Nacional Park of Chiloé or Tantau Park, where you can observe foxes from Chiloé, hundreds of birds and humpback whales that are on their way to the Patagonia. This park also has many trekking tracks between larches, myrtles and cypresses.

Reloncavi

Founded on June 12, 1968, the Club of Sports Naúticos Reloncaví was born thanks to a group of persons with residence in Port Montt, Puerto Varas and Osorno, with the purpose of promoting and developing the sports of the sea.

They are 28 the founding partners, who with determination and a great vision, have managed to give him all his members, facilities, equipment, courts, wharves and sea-coast, delivering him all the necessary facilities to the navigators and his crafts.

The club facilities are of high category, and are in permanent development, this way to receive to all the foreign crafts that have ended up at the zone, since it is the case of yachts of candle and engine proceeding from Sweden, France, England, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the USA, Italy, Spain and Denmark.

Thanks to this, the Club Naútico Reloncaví is inscribed in the list of the best club of yachts of South America.
